No I can not watch the live show it's far too late in my country if you would have had it at 14-15 then I watched it. But I had to go to school the next day. But i can watch it later on youtube
I am happy to announce the first on what I hope to be a long and informative series for aspiring game developers. I did a little spoiler in the last live show (#6) about interviews with people in the game development industry. Well here you have it, the first installment.
The brave soul to come up to bat first is Paul Simon. Paul is a Content Designer with Turbine currently working on the MMO Lord of the Rings Online. He will be joining us on Saturday 5, 2011, at 5pm EST in a live chat for people to bounce questions off of.
While he can not talk about what he is currently working on in Lord of the Rings Online, he will be glad to talk about things that he has already worked on and his daily work flow. Here are a list of topics:
* Quests
o region design
o hub design
o scripted sequences
* Instances
o content
o AI
o scripting
* Festival events
o content
o story
o scripting
* MMO Story Writing
o ‘epic’
o region
o hub
o quest
* General Scripting
The format will be pretty simple. I have a static list of questions to ask. Then the floor will be open to the live chat. If there is any time left, we will move one to questions that are posted as a comment to this post. So if you can attend, you have a better chance to have your questions answered.
The live chat will be held at: http://www.burgzergarcade.com/live-feed
Hope to see everyone there!
Do not forget to check out Paul's personal blog to stay updated on what is he is currently doing.
