Prime31 has release an new GUI tool called UIToolkit. This tool is free and can lower your draw calls significantly. There is a forum post about it on the Unity site, so I will not go in to detail on what it does exactly.
Once they add container support, I will be looking at implementing this in to the Hack & Slash Unity3d tutorial. This looks like it will be a free, easy to use, and community supported solution to creating slick, clean a great looking GUI for all of your apps.

Once they add container support, I will be looking at this for pretty much all of my projects.
