Procedural Rope Test (Demo)

See video

First test of a rope/wire/hose system. Uses our own soft body physics system to model the rope behaviour. The mesh produced can either be a fully procedural rope mesh with twists, strands end caps etc or a custom cross section or a mesh can be provided to be used to build the end mesh. The uv mapping can be altered as well. Various constraints can be added ie to attach the rope to an object. The rope can be made to collide with the environment.

Looks really cool. Did you

Looks really cool. Did you use the cloth physics, or roll your own for the rope?

I am surprised no one has asked a tentacle pr0n prefab yet!

:(

dude it would be nice if u would share that fantastic physics system with others by one of these 2 ways :
1- share the system itself
2- make some tutorials and guide others how to do stuff u are doing
so far i only saw interesting demos of ur job but no way of understanding how to do it myself :(
