SketchUp to Unity3d Tutorial Series

In this series of tutorials, you will learn how to create your models in SketchUp and then the process of importing them into Unity.

SKUP2UNITY 5 : Cinema4D Light Baking (1)

While the non-free Unity3D Pro has some options for realtime shadows and lighting, it is often quite computationally expensive (takes a lot of CPU cycles for calculations).

SKUP2UNITY 3 : Adding Materials and reloading the scene

Next step: ensuring we can get proper materials on our SketchUp model and ensure the scene gets reloaded with the new changes.

SKUP2UNITY 2 : Loading SketchUp model into Unity3D

While the Unity3D website suggests placing SketchUp models directly in a Unity project would work and trigger the FBX-export, it didn't work (at least not on Mac OSX and SketchUp 7.1 Pro). As you can see, the file is shown, but not recognized. No real problem, though, as we can export the file into the FBX format. This is properly recognized.

SKUP2UNITY 1 : Creating a simple SketchUp Model

First step: making a simple model in SketchUp and see if it works inside Unity.
